As a general rule, most coins are either oval or round in shape and approximately 1/8 of an inch thick. There are some unusual shapes, however, especially among coins from the Ancient Teshian Empire or from Dandria.
The economy of Hybrana, the northern continent, is based on silver, specifically the silver shiv. This is equivalent to one bushel of wheat for trade.
To convert prices given in the HOUSE RULES section, simply convert all "gp" to nobles (electrum). This means that 1000gp goes to 1000 nobles.
Money gained during an adventure also counts towards earned experience points.
These are the standard coins used across much of Hybrana, even after the destruction of Anryth. The City of Magic so thoroughly dominated economies that the same coin weights are still in use centuries later. This standard has successfully usurped other nations monetary systems and replaced them. As a result, Anryth coins can be found in nearly any part of Hybrana that has any form of foreign trade. The Anryth Standard has continued to be used even in the centuries following the citys destruction.
