The Orc Lord is a divine follower of Gruumsh, the one-eyed god of the Eloch'kal. They are spiritual warriors, doing their god's bidding in the most direct and brutal means possible. Common in Mnar, more of these blessed followers are appearing in the Grand Dutchy of Karanuk since the return of Anryth.
Eloch'kal are called to this special service in dreams. Gruumsh One-Eye appears to the candidate and instructs him or (rarely) her to perform certain tasks as a test of faith. One of these tasks is always for the candidate to pluck out his own left eye. If the candidate does not falter, and completes all the god-given tasks, he becomes an Orc Lord.
Orc Lords are easily recognizable by other Eloch'kal - for the missing left eye, if nothing else. Many are trained by tribal shamans before Gruumsh calls them. Orc Lords are often leaders of Eloch'kal warbands. Their hatred of all Fey is legendary even among the Elves. They will gladly sacrifice themselves so long as they can destroy a few of the Fey with their death. It guarantees them a place at Gruumsh's table in the afterlife.
Strength and Constitution are the primary abilities for an Orc Lord. They must be strong to rend Gruumsh's enemies, and they must endure grueling, tortuous tests of their faith. Only the strongest and hardiest survive.
Bluff, Climb, Intimidate, Jump, Wilderness Lore
Armor Proficiency: Orc Lords are proficient with all armors and shields. Note that armor check penalties for armor heavier than leather apply to the skills Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Pick Pocket, and Tumble. Also, Swim checks suffer a -1 penalty for every 5 pounds of armor and equipment carried.
Blood of Gruumsh (Su): By invoking his god's name, an Orc Lord's weapon turns blood-black. For 1d4 + class level rounds, the Orc Lord's weapon is a weapon of Wounding. This ability is usable a number of times per day equal to the Orc Lords Con modifier + 1.
Detect Fey (Sp): At first level, the Orc Lord gains the ability to Detect Fey. This ability conforms to the Detect Good spell in all respects, except it detects the presence of Fey creatures, including Elves.
Divine Spellcasting (Su): Each Orc Lord level counts as an additional Divine spellcasting level in whatever Divine-capable class the Orc Lord had before joining this prestige class. The Orc Lord may cast additional spells as if he had advanced another level in the Divine-casting class. The Orc Lord does not increase or add any other abilities from the other class.
Fist of Gruumsh (Su): Once per day, an Orc Lord can make his weapon Fey-bane or Elf-bane for a number of rounds equal to his level.
Racial Enemy - Fey (Ex): Orc Lords hate the Fey, especially Elves, above all other races - even Dwarves. Gruumsh grants his chosen special knowledge of the Fey, so that they may slay their hated foe more easily. They gain a +1 class bonus to all Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Wilderness Lore checks when using these skills against Fey and Elven creatures. Orc Lords also gain a damage bonus of +2 against Fey and Elven creatures.
Unholy Might (Su): An Orc Lord can invoke Gruumsh's strength as a black aura that surrounds him, adding 4 to his current strength total as if his natural strength had increased. The aura lasts for a number of rounds equal to his Orc Lord level +1. This ability is usable a number of times per day equal to the Orc Lord's Con modifier + 1.
Vengeance of One-Eye (Sp): As Gruumsh cursed Corellon for his trickery, so too may One-Eye's followers exact terrible revenge upon the hated Fey. An Orc Lord can imbue his weapon with the negative energy of Gruumsh's hatred, inflicting one negative level on a successful hit. The victim suffers a -1 competence penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, ability checks, and effective level. Spellcasters lose one slot from their highest available level. Negative levels stack. This ability is usable a number of times per day equal to the Orc Lord's class level. Invoking this ability is a partial action. If the attack misses, the energy remains held within the weapon for a number of rounds equal to the Orc Lord's level until it fades away.
Weapon Proficiency: Orc Lords are proficient with all martial weapons, with preference for the spear.
