This page is where I list the best resources on the web that I've found so far. The way I figure it, most DMs are looking for maps, adventures, critters, deities, advice articles, and similar resources. So here's my attempt to make your life easier by sharing what I've learned.
I've moved the links to 2nd Edition resources to here.
If you find a broken link on this page, or have a site you'd like me to add, please report it!
EN World (formerly d20 Reviews)
One of the best sites for general information on 3rd Ed D&D. They've got good product reviews, WotC announcements, interviews, OGL (Open Gaming License) info, and lots more. Bookmark this site and visit weekly. GUARDIAN RECOMMENDS!
Contains very, very, very useful examples of how to apply AOO (Attacks Of Opportunity) in 3rd Edition. Let's face it, the way AOO are explained in the PH (3rd Ed) sucks, and the example doesn't help with any of the finer points. Here are some examples of how AOO work. GUARDIAN RECOMMENDS! Heck, print the whole thing out and give it to your players. You'll be glad you did.
The usual discussions, now centered around 3rd Edition. A good place to visit for alternative ideas, viewpoints, and to get questions answered. There are also nuggets of good info in some threads.
Aardy R. DeVarque's rec.games.frp.dnd. Loads of useful information, and a much easier read than the newsgroup.
RPG Planet Website
This site has closed, but the information is archived on EN World.
The makers of the game. Loads of stuff available for download on 3E D&D. Go here. Download all this material.

Recently updated, the artwork on this site is fantastic! The downloads section also has links to a good set of tools for mapping, character gen, and other tools.
Some really cool people over at www.sourceforge.net created a wonderful Java utility called PC Gen. It's a good utility, still under development. Best of all, you can export NPC information in a variety of formats (rtf, html, doc, etc). I was able to create a 6th level NPC fighter, complete with physical description, equipment, and magical gear, in less than 15 minutes. It's still in development, but the features they've already got are pretty awesome. GUARDIAN RECOMMENDS!
A pretty full-featured mapping program. Great for outdoor maps, from the world-level down to the local city or village. Source code is available, and they're also working on it at www.sourceforge.net. I've used it myself, and if you can't afford Campaign Cartographer, this is your best bet. GUARDIAN RECOMMENDS!
Dungeon Crafter (now working on version 2) is a useful program for creating spiffy tile maps of small areas. There's a lot of user support for it, and the developers make regular updates. Worth checking out.
Campaign Cartographer, Dungeon Designer, Campaign Mapper, et. al.
Floorplans for palaces, cities, cathedrals, manors, temples, castles, mines, and more.
Dungeon, Town, and City generators for AD&D, Cyberpunk.
Home of HârnWorld, an excellent FRPG setting with a plethora of material you can use in your AD&D game.
Short adventures available for download from the WOTC site.
Hasn't been updated in nearly a year. Here's a treasure I am pleased to find: The War of Shadows. Here's a rich campaign world and description of the players' adventures that is just begging to be looked at. Very good setting, description, and plot. Check this place out!
Uncle Figgy's Guides are a must read for every gamemaster and player. This one's a real treasure, folks. Uncle Figgy goes into detail about a wide range of RPG subjects.
Free newsletter with tips and tricks of the trade. Ranges from information focused on beginners through campaign world creation. Worth subscribing simply for the nuggets of real gold that get delivered to you free via email. Site archive is also a nice touch.
A very good site. The creators (yes, there are several people working on this site) definitely have their act together. Downloads galore, maps, artwork, well-developed history, deities, nations... I spent a week and a half poking around this site and can only find good things to say about it. So far (06/23/2003) it's updated regularly. The newspaper articles are a hoot!
Hasn't been updated in nearly a year. A wonderful resource of campaign material. Here you can find PCs, NPCs, characters, personalities, spells, articles, and more.
The most comprehensive online catalog of critters I know of. This source is great!
A plethora of material for your D&D game.
Haven't had a chance to check all of these out very thoroughly.
WebRPG's Top Ten best traps.
List of traps is available here.
An interesting set of NPCs. Most of them are personalities you can drop into just about any campaign.
Kinak's Realm also boasts a rather impressive selection of spells. Over 20 by my count, broken up into such interesting categories as Biomancy, Spirit Crystal, and Daemonic.
A good selection of spells.
